However, when I do that none of the JavaFX objects (Scene, Stage, etc) are known. ![]() Extensions like this can be installed using the 'Install New Software' wizard. e (fx)clipse is an extension for your Eclipse IDE which is delivered as a so called p2 repository. I've added e(fx)clipse to Eclipse so that I now have the option of creating a JavaFX project in Eclipse. Fire up your Eclipse IDE if you have not done so already. I have JDK/Eclipse installed and am able to create/run console apps, no problem. I want to build a small calculator app that will force me to learn more about the following tools/products:įirst things first.is JavaJX and Scene Builder the 'best' way to build a GUI application? Is there something better/newer? I would really appreciate some advise with this.
